The CR13 was fundamentally a good car, and therefore finally gave the team a good base from which to improve. Unlike in recent years, a complete redesign wasn’t necessary, and as a result, the team has been able to work on the small things that make the car better. The main focus has been on increasing both performance, and the drivability of the vehicle. This has been done through weight saving in all areas of the car, refining the chassis layout and also through extensive engine tuning. There will also finally be the addition of electronic data logging equipment which will not only help this year’s team, but also the following vehicles the University will produce.
